Norway

Norway is best known for its striking landscapes - tranquil fjords, vast stretches of Arctic tundra, and the haunting beauty of the Northern Lights. The country also has a long history, dating back to the time of the Vikings, which is reflected in its ancient stave churches and formidable medieval fortresses. Norway's cities, however, give a glimpse of the modern, cosmopolitan side to the country, including a thriving arts scene.

At the same time, the Norwegian lifestyle is steeped in nature. Outdoor activities like skiing, fishing, and hiking are easily accessible and visible throughout the country. If you enjoy seafood, take advantage of Norwegian cuisine, renowned for its salmon dishes. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, you can try more unique delicacies including the notorious rakfisk (fermented fish).
