One of the most popular islands in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico is known for its pristine beaches and dense jungle. The island is a territory of the United States, located in the northeastern Caribbean. With a population 3.4 million, Puerto Rico welcomes around 5 million visitors each year.

The home of Reggaeton and Salsa music, the island is the birthplace of the piña colada and is known for its rum. Puerto Rico is also famous for its coffee, which is grown in the central mountain range. The local food is a fusion of African, Spanish, Taíno, and American influences and the colonial influences can also be seen in the architecture of major towns.
